Question A. I selected this piece of my artwork because I loved the original piece and I just wanted to do it again. I wanted my second patrick to be a lot more detailed not only him but his surroundings too. I also wanted to have more contrast and color to complete my drawing. For a final touch I decided to put in the krabby patty because it is a hudge symbol of spongebob as a show. I also improved on the mixing and changing of colors when you put two togther.
Question B. I have improved as an artist and a person in this class. I have learned a lot of skills such as shading and details but not only that. I have improved as a person because I look for what can inspire me or my work almost every day. I improved on the shading but mostly on the detail. I have a lot more components in the second drawing because it just looks better. I also put a board on patricks head instead of hair because the board represents how stupid he is. My art making abilities have improved in every type and media of art because I understand things now that I would never have known about if I did not take this class.
Question 2 #1. Artists document their experiences through art by creating a work or art that means somthing to them or to someone else. I documented my view on school in a piece of my own. It represents how material is forced upon us even if we may not like it or understand it. Don't get me wrong I like school, but when somthing doesn't make sense and you are left behind, it gets pretty hard. My sculpture represents how stressful school is when in 20 years frome now that 60 on a math quiz won't mean a thing. I still try to get good grades but there is too much stress in achool. My view is that if you do your best that's all you can do.
